This was one of my earlier customs. Maybe start with a crappy figure first. That way you can experiment and if you mess it up, who cares. Just dry brush little by little until you get the desired effect.

Thanks for the advice man, I will do that. Right now I finished re-shelling a voyager Iron Hide into a batman tumbler. The vehicle and robot are mostly black so I'm thinking that would be the best toy to practice on for some minimal highlight paint apps. Still not sure what would work for it. Also looking at all the talent out there for ideas.

Pretty wicked stuff. Galvatron without the stationary cannon mode is odd for my head but the new modes more than make up for it.
