In this alternate universe, Wolverine wasn't involved in the Weapon X project but instead was captured by the military to test the effects of gamma radiation on mutants hoping to destroy the mutant gene.

Knowing of Wolverine's healing factor, they thought he would be a good specimen seeing that they could test him over and over. The main scientist involved was a man by the name of Dr. Bruce Banner. He thought this experiments they were conducting were wrong so he planned to help Wolverine escape. Bruce snuck into the lab and released Wolvie's restraints but little did he know that this breakout had been learned beforehand. The room was soon flooded with soldiers and Dr. Banner realized the gamma ray machine had been pointed at him charging up to full power. Before Banner could flee, the machine fired and an explosion erupted. As Banner began to recollect himself, he looked behind him to find a semi-charred Wolverine kneeling before him. Banner had thought Wolvie to be dead until Wolverine looked up at Banner and told him to run. As Banner got up to get away, Wolverine about faced and gave a fearsome battle cry as the soldiers unloaded their weapons at the frightful beast. They ceased fire. The soldiers looked where the mutant had stood and thought he had been finished but then they heard a mighty roar and through the dust and smoke charged a hulking mass of man tearing through the whole lab with enormously dangerous claws. Wolverine was able to escape the facility and ran deep into the woods. He began to slow down and when he felt it was safe, Wolverine collapsed onto the cold forest ground. As his vision began to blur out and his eyelids ran heavy, he heard footsteps coming close and a man in a while coat was approaching him. Wolverine blacked out and the footsteps stopped... what will become of Wolverine now?

LoL ok so I'm not good at story telling but I had to put something together to give a background to this concept piece. I used a Marvel Select Ultimate Hulk as the base figure. I opened his mouth and sculpted his teeth with Aves Apoxie. The hair and claws and some of the torn pants were also sculpted with Apoxie. I tried to airbrush but I was having a little trouble with the airbrush so I just went back to good old hand painting. Hope you like it! I felt it was time to try my hand at a Comic Book custom.
