i love the soft focus (whether you meant to or not) cuz it doesn't needto be crisp with an idea like that...!

any soft focus and lack of crispness is due to my camera, film, crappy scanner, camera shake, or perhaps my fault and lack of photography techniques/experience. it was dark and this was the only light source, (obviously) and i'm not sure if the film i had in the camera was intended for those kind of lighting conditions.

hehehe to get rid of them...
first look for the clone tool, i think the icon looks like one of those stamp things they have at the library with the upright bubble handle and wide bottom to tell you when yer book is due back...
then select a spot really close by and press alt and left mouse click and its copied that pixelation in however big or small you chose the thingy, then you can just go over to the scratches and click over them and it should go away...
and if you accidently clone wrong, then just pick edit>undo up above... its super fun! i love the clone tool!

coooooooooooool. thanks so much for telling me about that! you're a lifesaver. it's going to take forever to restore this pic though. i don't know if i have the energy to clone all those little white specks. i'll save it for a rainy day.
