Pfft, just a test with textures
I found a paper with this pose on it, it was supposed to be the request for [link] but I decided to try something else. Had nothing better to do than creating a new character out of it, Magenta the four-eared hedgehog
( obey my originality
)I don´t have a clear story for now, or other references. But she´s a veeeeeery endangered species, haha : D
Once I heard in TV that magenta or purple is for pretty serious characters, and so she is. Not very talkactive, though she loves to stay with people and create new connections.
The four-eared hedgehog ( gosh I can´t say this often enough xD) is an old, probably ancient species. Nobody knows it for sure, ´cause they normaly hide from everyone but their kind.
Dun dun duuuuun....
So, I had fun doing the background... I also made a brush set out of these circles, post it later. Gimme some critique about it C:
( I guess I exaggerated with the textures....

The right leg is kinda weird, I know... dang, I noticed it but didn´t changed it because of my lazyness D:

Every once a blue moon, I look into my inbox and find something actually worth clicking on.
This is one such, an occasion.
It isn't often one finds a piece that comes together so well. The brilliant background composition really accentuates the character, and efficiently hides the fact that this is really just a character pic (good show).
I find a great deal of aesthetic value in your choice of pose, which I understand you picked yourself. As well as appealing colors, beautiful texture work and even that glow spot on her head. Body markings are cool too, being fairly reminiscent of Mirror's Edge. I'd say it's full of win, but that would be politically incorrect.
As I said before, it's very rare for me to find an image that stands out that little extra bit from the rest of the everyday inbox duties. And it's even rarer when I feel compelled to try to imitate an artist, purely on an inspiration whim. I will add this to my favorites, and have a copy I can look at in my reference folder, for when the internet dies, and I need inspiration. Great Job!

Deine Hintergründe sind stark cO Genau so würde ich es machen, wenn ich meine Charaktere dar stelle und solche Hintergründe selbst zeichnen könnte oder auf'm PC hätte :3
Besonders gefallen mir die ungewöhnlichen Schnutenzeichnungen!

I like the angular marks on her face. The four-eared design is very unique, and yes, the pose is attractive, too.

Well four eared hedgehog sounded creepy to me but hey its unique and original. I totally like ancientXmodern design you know what I mean. You have done good use of textures and don't worry about the shading I like it better that way in this picture. Background looks nice respect to the colours but it could've been more better if you have used those shapes in symmetrical composition and with simplicity, its too much chaos (Its just my opinion >>' ) Its overall nice! So favs goes for the Megneta

Hm, ich mag deinen Style echt so wie der ist, nur würde ICH in deinen Bildern ein wenig stärkere Schattierungen reinmalen... Ich weiß nicht, nur so zum testen, wie es dann aussieht.^^

Ja das mit dem schatten... die Stärke kann von PC Screen zu PC Screen abweichen Oo ich habe noch so einen großen Bildschirm, wenn ich das Bild jetzt auf einem Flachbildschirm ansehen sieh tman das Shading GAR nicht o3o
