I'll be honest... I wasn't looking forward to seeing this... since so far the new live-action remakes of animated Disney films haven't been so great (Alice in Wonderland was okay but felt like the start of TimBurton's decline, while Maleficent.... I rather not talk about that). Heck, I wasn't even going to see it with my family, but because I was having a difficult day and frustration with an essay I had to write, I decided to tag along to check it out. And what did I think... IT WAS A WONDERFUL MOVIE!

The film perfectly and respectfully retells the actual story of the original Walt Disney 1950 classic while adding new elements without fully slapping it. Some of the changes are good, some improve, while few others... well, may not go anywhere, but they are really minor. All of the characters are likable, rather they be re-imaginings of the characters we all loved (Fairy Godmother, The Prin.. KIT, He's still the Prince), or some of the new characters (my personal favorites are The Goose and the Captain of the Guards). The actors really deserve a lot of credit for what they have done. Oh, and I shouldn't forget to mention the beautiful visuals, design, and effects. Plus, the score is so magically filled with the spark of happyness.

While it may not top the original feature, it does live up to it and it's legacy. It is really good, even critics and reviewers are giving it a LOAD OF POSITIVE REVIEWS! Well... maybe not really angry people who consider it "politically incorrect". Anyway, I highly recommend that you get out of your house and go see it!

P.S. I forgot to mention how ironically funny it was for this to come out. Recently, I how very much felt like Cinderella at home... not that I am a slave and the only one working, no no no. But, I am called a lot to do many tasks (especially from my younger siblings).
