Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Actually, it is a day early, but since I’ll be out all Monday, I figured I should post my drawing today. Either on the 15th or 17th, it is still March 2014.
As you can see, The British Bishop is wearing the red, white, and blue colors of… ENGLAND! While the Leprechaun has green and orange (with white), to represent the colors of the flag of Ireland. Saint-P is pointing to a rainbow cross, as a metaphor to go to Jesus. And is stating the Obvious, because… wait… The message is to go to Jesus.
Anyhow, I modeled the two after actors “Ewan McGregor” (who is British) and “David Tennant” (who is… NOT IRISH, but Scottish).

I could actually see Ewan McGregor pull off a great St. Patrick, myself. He is an incredibly talented and underappreciated actor... Who else could pull off such beautifully organic acting in a trilogy laden with as atrociously bland dialogue as the Star Wars prequels were?

Yep, there's no doubting that he's a fantastic actor in just about any movie he's in, be it high-quality cinematic art, the lowest grade of childish crap, or anywhere in between. I'm particularly looking forward to seeing him alongside Johnny Depp in the upcoming action comedy feature, "Mortdecai"...
