Description: As one of my first soft pastel pieces, hieroglyph parrot is one where I grew ambitious, and I sought to depict an animal that I had no prior experience with. I believe that the colors are excellent, but the beak, unfortunately, came out blurry when I photographed the piece, so what is currently on DeviantArt is not the best representation of my work. I hope to revisit this.

One problem with hieroglyph parrot is that it lacks some technical skill regarding the realistic depiction of parrots. However, the creativity in pairing a parrot with hieroglyphs may make up for it. I envisioned that the parrot would carve hieroglyphs in walls with its beak and talons, and the meaning of the hieroglyphs remains a mystery, but they are said to predict future events.
