Description Introducing England's worst nightmare – the Franco-German Weremonster, evil overlord of the European Union; Hetalia-style!

[--- The UK now faces its greatest challenge as two of its worst historical enemies have teamed up to absorb all of Europe into their tyrannical Napoléonic Fourth Reich - all under the guise of peaceful European integration!

Isolated from the continent by nature, can the UK withstand the terror of this unholy union? Or will it also fall victim to the clutches of the "axis of ill-intent" and their neo-imperialist European superstate?
Find out in our new reality show, titled “News”, available 24/7 on a telly near you! ---]

... I am exaggerating, obviously. But I was greatly taken aback when I found out, by starting to read British online newspapers regularly, that this is what some people actually believe. I, for one, am shocked and appalled at my country being involved in such a sinister plot. Shocked. and. appalled.

I hope the UK doesn't end up leaving the EU (not until I've repatriated there anyway ). The eurocrisis and all the drama surrounding it is really getting me down.

I think the one thing that makes people nervous about the EU is that many of its ministers are appointed, not elected.

To be honest though it would be nice to see Europe united...especislly after everything that the continent as a whole has been through. If Europe doesn't want to be annexed by others and doesn't want to be islamified then they should just become one entity with a democratic government. Plus they'll be protected by their Russian neighbor.

Ah don't worry if we did leave the EU we would still be in the Europe economic area, so you could still come in, just we would have the choice to accept or not accept you (we accept most people anyway) , but to be honest, I would prefer the UK to be closer to Europe

I love this picture!
I recently read a book about this and I'm really happy I'm not the only one who thought of Hetalia in this matter.
The book basically said that Britain used to slow down anything the EU did, then they decided not to join in the matter, the decisions were made without asking Britain anymore and a few years later, they joined with worse conditions because the laws were made without considering Britains conditions.
Poor Iggy (Even though it's his own fault)
So, what's left to say... ?
Join us, Iggy, it's very nice on the continent~

I almost died laughing.... Thanks for this mental image!

Some time ago I read quite some things about the EU and I find your picture even more amusing considering this. In 1946 it was Sir Churchill himself who wanted France and Germany to take care or Europe... although it apparently wasn't his intention to get England involved even back then. Oh, I agree with you: he's just so tsundere...

Wow really? I had no idea that the British had these concerns over the EU. I really need to keep up with news in Europe more... I'm American so I pay more attention to the Middle East That's interesting! I love the pic though XD lol at Germany/France. I think it's funny that they're so attached now, considering their history XD

yeah, we do get paranoid over here about the EU.
But in a way it keeps us sane - *flicks through financial newspaper* 'oh, yes...the pound is higher than the euro...the highest it's ever been... BWAHAHAHA----WHAT DO YOU MEAN GERMANY'S ECONOMY IS STILL THE STRONGEST IN EUROPE??!!??' *screams in rage and drinks more tea* 'oh we're doomed, we're doomed...oh the shame, the shhhaammmee!!!'

We take pleasure in moaning about how we're failing as a country whilst attempting to blame it on others...lol

"LOL how about we unite France and Germany so we can have one big country plz"

Germany and France have been one country, I think, during the 800s? I don't even know how we became two different countries. And when we were one country, I think it wasn't to annoy Britain. But I'm not sure ...it could be, perhaps?

Most british people (including my family) would like to leave the E.U. because they say all british laws are made by the E.U. and the goverment has less control or something? I don't know man, politics you know it makes your brain hurt (dread to think what economics does to your head *shivers*).

very funny picture by the way (though I am a die hard US x UK(e) fan I still like the picture (Germany is a natural at being a dragon).

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, YOU CAN HAVE FRANCE, IT'S NOT LIKE WE CARE how will we cope without France? We just told the USA to gtfo. Who else can we turn to for a little lovin' WE DON'T CARE AT ALL. WE DON'T LIKE YOU PEOPLE ON THE CONTINENT, WE'RE ISOLATED FROM YOU, AND HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU except for most of our trade, political institutions, decision- making, ideas for collective defence, oh yeah, and the channel tunnel kind of means that we're joined anyway AND WE'RE SOOOOOOO HAPPY BEING ON OUR OWN THAT WE COULD CRY.

Which is why we regularly invite Prussia over from your basement, and get sloshed with him, and then cry about how einsam we are.
SO THERE.

(... buhyoo. Just.)

Silly, silly Anglo. You misunderstand our intentions. See, by being so sickeningly all over each other and appearing to shun you, we just wanted to trigger your deepest, true longing and feelings which are buried so deeply under your collective tsundere attitude.

Never did we intend for you to grow bitter, or for you to be hurt too much.

But look. We are so proud of you, telling the US to GTFO. This means you are ~ready~. Ready to fully give in to us. Ready to join us in our warm and loving and slighty sticky pan- European embrace. :-}

Come to us. We'll even let you top for a while. Before we get to the BDSM part.

I... we want to... we're just a little scared. We don't want our hearts broken concerned about getting a sore bum legislation, and sovereignty issues.

Plus, we kind of heard rumours about vampires or something, or something, I don't know.

Now now, just accept your new overlords like we all did. If you don't struggle, it won't hurt much.

Vampires! Preposterous. Where did you get that sort of information, I don't even---
alright okay, so some of us are vampires. But we have been clean for 65 years, honest! }':

(Haha, sorry, I was just mock-quoting that retarded UKIP guy Nigel Farage. Of course I think Belgium's a proper, real country etc. ^^ )

She probably has a lot of fun throwing a croissant in one direction, dark bread in the other, and then watch as the weremonster falls over trying to catch both.

SaradoraArt In reply to sora-ko [2010-03-26 09:46:38 +0000 UTC]

I was just kidding, not offended at all Yes Mr Farage definitely made us laugh. Obviously he had nothing better or more intelligent to say, so why should we feel offended by such a stupid guy?

For what I know, she must take care of more than two countries... She must have a really, really big garden. I guess Switzerland helps her, and they eat chocolate while lil' countries are frolicing in the fields! Arthur must be pouting though.
... dammit I'm craving for chocolate now.
