Followup to Riku's Post

Event: Withdrawn - this was supposed to be mine/Riku/Roxy's first show together and Riku got disqualified AFTER being accepted because his bg used AI, which was NOT against any rules since they never even mentioned it at all whatsoever. if we're not all three there together there's no point for me (and it was Riku's idea that we all three go), plus I don't like disqualifying someone AFTER you've accepted their entry, for something they stated from the beginning (that took 5 hours to make!) that was NOT against any rules until you changed the rules AFTER they entered and had their entry already accepted. >< if it had been a case of pretending you drew it by hand in photoshop or something then they find out later you didn't, that would be different, but not this. this is just kinda a shitty thing to do. if you don't want AI then fine but say so in the rules, don't go back and change the rules AFTERWARD, or accept it first then change your mind later.

Until now, Antimony's Thoroughbred "Mama" has only raced with Baby Doll as a jockey . As Dr. Valkyrja 's apprentice, Antimony rode her the day Bringer of Light was born and he rides her at home, but he usually never competes because of his extreme shyness. In this case, me and Roxafox finally talked Deathfire-ARPG into doing harpg with us just before I ended up leaving for months so we didn't actually get to do anything together, and now that I decided to give it another try Riku decided we should all do entries for the same show and do our first competition together and stuff, so apparently the storyline is that Antimony's adopted brother (Valkyrja's other adopted son) Tungsten Valkyrja talked Antimony into going to a cross-country show with him since it would just be riding through the woods and stuff like he does at home and he wouldn't be in a show ring in front of a crowd or anything, and Antimony agreed to go only if Val went first. So, here he is with his first harpg show entry. I had a plot point in mind for why he was afraid of snakes and it was going to be much more dramatic/important, but the old storlyine had way too much, just, "stuff" in it, a lot of things that didn't have much to do with horse art RP's or anything, hence the reboot. I have too many ideas to draw them all and drawing just becomes a chore trying to get all these ideas out one after another as fast as I can and it ends up not being fun anymore. I decided it's better if I only draw certain things and just have the rest in text, and the original point was supposed to be the horse art stuff and not all the extra other things going on. I need to change it so the battles and stuff that were part of the story are instead competition-based, like Yugioh with the duels replaced with horse shows or something I've seen animes where the dramatic life and death battles were replaced with something else, like cooking or sports or something, but all the atmosphere and stakes and stuff were treated like it was a real fight to the death or something and it was absolutely hilarious but I don't have much faith in my skills to pull it off with my art though. But I'm trying to figure out how to make the antagonist a competition rival instead of something they'd actually fight in real battle and set everything up so it can be told through competition pics, without the 17+ extras that I did for previous events. x_x

I'm also tired of all the excessive research I've been doing. Learning stuff can be fun, but most of the time it ended up being stressful and frustrating trying to make everything work realistically and real life stuff is just depressing actually, so I want my stuff to be more magical and fantasy based with more imagination and less spending hours and hours trying to make everything realistic (I did however try to color the snake like a real Australian species, but I think they aren't supposed to be that big and I didn't bother to check if they are actually in this particular PART of Australia). It's silly to do that when the main character is a flying merman! And of course with that being my goal, of course this is a realistic-type event lol. Since we've swapped characters around and Daetorious went back to Riku and Baby Doll/Alastor went back to Roxafox, Antimony is now my backup "realistic character" for events where I can't use Celestian the merman. In the original context Antimony was just a background side character, just someone else in the area for some of the extra horses to belong to, but with this current setup I suppose he's going to be the main character of my "realistic side" harpg stuff. At the moment he still has his thoroughbreds, but both the TB groups I found have rules against chibies and I'm tired of trying to do perfect realism and I want to do more fantasy/anime style art. I want to do cute gay chibi pics. AQHR doesn't care and I like that their setup calculates stuff for you automatically so maybe I'll crossbreed the TBs into appendix quarters and switch over to quarter horses, or go with an all-breeds group. I like TheRanchRegistry because then the horses and sheep and cows and everything else can all be in the same group together but we should all pick at least one group to do so our horses will all be registered/leveled up in the same place and their foals can get all the "look how high the parents are" bonuses and stuff.

Anyway, I don't know, whatever, show entry. .3. Antimony is afraid of snakes but I want to make that be more of a comical fun sort of thing when it comes into play later instead of dark and dramatic and serious. I don't think my art is quite right for serious stuff, I think it just comes off cringey to "trying too hard" or something :/ I think I'll do all the serious stuff in text from now on. Again I'm unhappy with my art style and want to change it somehow and it's gonna take a while to figure out what I want or get it how I like it, if that's even possible...

That furry thing on the rock is supposed to be a wallaby, use your imagination ;;" and no I didn't research them for realism so they may not even supposed to be in that area x_x
