She's pretty much gone through a harsh time during her days at school, constantly being bullied over her weight. Eventually she stops caring as she doesn't hesitate to pick fights as a means to show that she's not one to be messed with, basically as a defense mechanism.

yeah, this as well as the Ruby of Fire ones are my personal favorites, I need to play around with it more for enhanced coloring techniques. I feel Colors 3D is the next best thing until I get a Cintiq for my computer.
