Yeah kick it's ass Kouji because your my friend heh well at least the pic helped me feel better about my comp don't understand it but eh at least it was fun to draw Kouji is to far to the left kinda makes it look like a scene from a movie haha though it's actually because he was not suposed to be alone in the picEdit: heh just notised I forgot to color part of his hair ok all fixed

This looks plain awesome! I really like how the whole scene is set up - it reminds me of something straight out of a sci-fi movie. Kouji, himself, looks great too. I like how he has such a calm expression on him, like he is about to put the hurt on someone. His outfit looks wonderful too. The folds in his clothing are done very well and I like how his armor is done and how the sparks on the end of that staff flare up like that. His hair and his eyes are colored so well and I like how nice and shiny they are.

Like I already said, awesome. Good composition, a lot of balance in this picture. Also his head's not slanted like your earlier works and the lighting is placed correctly everywhere. I heard a story long ago, that it usually took a young artist 24 paintings before they were considered good enough to try making 10 more new paintings to display at an art gallery. Your work is beautiful Nicole, and it's only getting better with every new piece you create. I know you will continue to improve until it becomes easy and fast for you. Then you can concentrate on not just the creation process but on what your picture is about.
That archive? It's cuz the pic deserves it. It not only looked good, it had a good concept. "Death to the Evil Computers" A piece of art isn't just about how good it looks, (if that's the case, then what's up with Picasso paintings?), it has to have a significance as well. Something that makes it unique or original.
This one has significance. Everyone at some point has wished to tear the innards of a damn PC out like Kouji has here. Plain and simple. This pic rocks cuz it lives out everyone's fantasy. And it looks good while it does.
We're not art experts, that's for sure, but some of us have taken college art history and college art studio classes, so this kinda of information and way of critiqueing a picture has been drilled into our brains. We've had our pictures, drawings, and paintings torn apart in critiques. We know we're not perfect. But we hope at the least to teach the little we know to help others become better artists.
Keep in mind though, we got lives and we don't always have the chance to point out details or teach everyone how to improve. You were pretty much already on your way to an archive, you certainly didn't need any help from us. Especially not with the way you were downplaying yourself and your work. It's kinda hard to give an archive to someone everyone knows is feeling bad about their picture. If we did, everyone would say: oh it's cuz of pity.
*shakes head* Now that you finally did a piece that even Stacy loved, you're still not too confident cuz you have the feeling that it was done out of pity. But let me tell you this, Stacy doesn't give a rat's ass whether someone leaves or not. As far as she's concerned, The picture got an archive, not the artist. So don't even think it was cuz you were going to leave. It's cuz you made a kickass picture. Plain and simple.
Now get back to work girl. Keep them awesome pics coming. We have lots of faith in your skills and creativity. Do yourself a service and never doubt what you're drawing.

I have done the imposable by haveing one of my pics archived there so there is no reason to be depressed anymore I guess I acted like a baby about the archive thing but I have done 40 something pics on there it just made me wonder that was so wrong with my stuff though I supose it helped my strive to improve
I guess I will stay heh there are not to meny boards I can draw freely at anyway without going over the limit just FP, Oekaki Central and PDU Starshine right now all others seem to have the 500KB limit I hate so much wich means no pics over 300x300 pixals for me on thoes

That does kinda suck no X\ most boards have limits to the pics. FP is the only place I can go now since Draco's board is down ...again *ugh*. I have no clue where else I could draw that allow shounen-ai pics and such.

The only way to get alot of comments on DA is to give alot of comments especually commenting on random people on the main page and such alot of times people are like me I check out everyones page who comments on me and will comment on thier stuff to pay them back sometimes even watch them if they interest me
You could always draw at oekaki central they allow high rated images your deffinatly a high level 2 star artist not sure why you don't check it out hehe or you could draw at PDU though no one goes there anymore so ya wont get any comments except from me and Togepi

Amazing pic ! I really love the detail to lighting, with the three different sources with three different colours. The style you have achieved with oekaki is umbeleivable ! I really like how it feels almost like a much more detailed watercolour. The brightness in the colours is spot on, it doesnt make the scene too dark what with the shadowy BG and all. Nice balance in the whole pic and fantastic work !

I agree I useually try to finish a pic in one sitting wich is around 400 minutes or so for my normal pics but I do not trust my computer so I do not think I will even think about drawing on it again the windows 2000 one seems to like me even though it lacks sound....... to bad photoshop wont work on this one it's the only complacated program I sort of understand
