"that's perfect, Octus!' Ilana said as she and Brian continued hanging ornaments. Lance stood on a ladder, Helping octus's floating orb adjust his holo-projections.
"I thought it would add an interesting touch" the echo of their Robotic companion's voice intoned from his core. Lance smiled.
"I think it's really cool" he said, lining up the projections Octus had already generated "you know, this is really kinda fun."
Brian cocked an eyebrow as Ilana giggled.
"that's certainly a change, coming from You, Lance." Brian said. Lance scowled down at him.
"what's that supposed to mean?" the Dark-haired soldier shot back. Ilana snorted.
"oh, come on Lance, he's just kidding." she said "though you can't have forgotten what happened last year."
"oh jeez...." Lance groaned "you're never gonna let that go, are you?"
Brian and Ilana both snickered, and even Octus chuckled.
"you mean how you thought the tree was a Mutraddi, and tackled it out the front window before Ilana could stop you?" he said, causing Ilana and Brian to break into helpless laughter. Lance scowled, but the feelings were infectious, and he had to smile.
"yeah...."
