"why did we have to come all the way out here to pick a tree?" Lance groused as he and Kristen followed Ilana deeper into the forest of Christmas trees. the two could hear Ilana's delighted giggling as she practically danced from tree to tree, looking them all over. Lance sighed inwardly. while he was happy to see Ilana so joyous, he was still having a hard time understanding the Holiday that the trees symbolized, despite having had to participate in the event for four years running.
had it really been four years? so much had happened so quickly......
"Lance! Lance!"
Lance was wracked out of his thoughts by Ilana's delighted calls.
"you'd think she was a little kid with the keys to a toy store...." he muttered. Kristen, who seemed happier than usual herself, smiled understandingly, but still pulled him through the trees to where Ilana stood, her arms wrapped around a massive tree that towered over the ones around it. the blonde's face was lit up in joy as she glanced back at the pair.
"I want THIS one!" she said "it's perfect! and think of all the decorations we'll have for it!"
Lance cocked an eyebrow as he looked up....and up, at the tree.
"will that even fit in our living room?" he asked aloud.
