Description

Has been a year more or less since my first job with them. after so long, you can't just say you're out. But if you're in, you're in and nothing's gonna get you back. They know who you are, they know your family name and how to find you if they need anything. And to remind you, they sew your name into your skin... and give you a nickname on top.

Family knows nothing, didn't tell anyone that my new job was shadier than usual, but the brat... he starts noticing my concerns... and makes it harder to hide it. I need to shut them out. And I need to keep the situation under control. Found a way to distract myself on the tours in and out of town but I don't want to be looking smart, Vice is the only one who could help me out and I sure don't wanna end up on his bad side. Who knows maybe if I talk myself out, he'll let me go back pushin' bags. It might be a step down from what I wanted but it sure as hell is easier than what I'm doing now. And I'd favor knives over guns any day.

Ahhh if I only thought of that interior details you mentioned... I wanted to get more into detail there but didn't know how to approach it properly and so I left it untouched to not overwhelm the background with details.

But I'm glad that you like it and thank you for telling me! It's especially helpful for me as this was my first time dealing with a car-setting.

I don't know enough of traditional drawing methods to recommend anything to help you with smoke like this, but in digital, it's a matter of minutes to get it right and it doesn't take much effort either.

Thanks again and enjoy your day!

ayy, i remember when i drew Jasper for our art trade way back when. Glad to see he's still his good ol' gloomy self~

excellent work on usual! As someone else pointed out, the textures you used here looks great! Metal textures are so hard to get right

Yes I remember that art trade too, much has happened since then...

And even though I don't get to draw my characters often, I still try to somewhat evolve their stories a little to justify the work itself.

Thank you very much! ^v^

And the texturing was pretty simple to get done even :3 I will experiment more in the future, definitely learned something about metal surfaces with this one :3

Ooh it’s really cool to see you draw a vehicle I must say! I really like how you did the textures on the windshield as with the slight dirty rust that is present in the body as well, it looks really good. Also I am really digging these two they look awesome. But ya great job!

Yes that was the one I told you about. Took a huge turnaround tho and had to trace the car a bit to get the perspective right. As first time doing a car in an artwork, I decided to take the safe approach...

By the way, that's a Buick GNX V6, a beautiful car if I may say so.

And glad you like the textures. I wanted this to have a gritty look and a sharp shiny car would have looked better but I wanted to have this grounded and more believable.

Nice! ^^ I think I remember that. Ah ok ya that’s definitely a safe bet for sure, still looks really awesome for,it being your first cent want to see your next attempt.
Oh the Grand National sweet! Yes those things are absolutely spectacular and I think it suits these two really well! ^^ Haha one of my crew members owns a Buick as well, granted it’s an Electra Park Avenue.

Yea. Yea I think the overall gritty approach was a lot better, I feel if the car was to shiny it would distract the mood

I don't know enough of cars to choose them fittingly to my artwork(s). I found this one through searching for 'Cars from the 70s 80s' and it caught my eye. It's a muscle car but I still wanted it to look a bit worn-down with some dents and obviously the lot of dirt, the owner probably 'inherited' it from someone who was more passionate about caring for it. Also I feared it would be an expensive car, so I made it artificially looking cheaper than it probably is xD

Ah still very new to the topic, but ya, I'll try to keep it in mind and attempt to do the next car-related project from scratch.

 You have a nice weekend!

Well you’re certainly correct about it being an expensive car, the GNX model is really rare with I think about 527 ever being made so can fetch a high dollar haha. I think it fits with your artwork though not has a big urban overtone to it and the car works nicely as it’s like really urban and quite street so it lends itself to your style. Idkmif thdt makes any sense haha.

Sounds good and I’m super excited to see what you’ll do next!

Oh thank you for the insight ^v^ As I said, I don't know nothing about them :3

I just see the odds diminished for me ever to get into one of those then myself...

Don't know much about it either... but I'm not enough into cars to consider even getting an expensive one myself...

I'm more into public transporting methods.
