Description
Good thing it's not made from clay or I'd have squished it!Work in progress. Something I've been doing since last November.
I'd like crits regarding the formal elements (light, technique, etc)

Very nice, my only comment would be the unicorn's front legs. The one propped up is a bit short and thin, it doesn't look to fitting. And the other one seems to just be...cut off. I guess it's bent, it's just difficult to tell, because I know a horse's leg can't bend backwards like that
other than that, I agree with many of the comments. It is beautiful, and the lighting is perfect

This is a kind of critique (I'm not a premium member so I post it here):
All in All I agree with
*Nakase Jan , the scene is very good as well as the composition, but some details troubles me:
- the unicorn's horn seems thin, I can hardly imagine it standing there without breaking but then a unicorn is an imaginary creature.
- the unicorn front leg seems also thin.
Except from that, I think it's a good artwork (otherwise I wouldn't be posting this).

I really like it...all though..I don't understand the lower parts op her body...it looks like it has turned around, and that it's the ass...It's really wierd of me...but I just saw it that way at first, and now I can't chance it...Oo...is it on purpose, ore is it just me who's bad understanding? XD

i love that you captured a bit of unicorn lore in this. Using a maiden to lure the unicorn and what not. It's beautifully done. The movement you created with the snow and the very sensual moment captured with the maiden entranced with the beast is lovely. I think it is good as is.

I definitely like the theme, and the guy is very nicely added. As for technical, I feel like the lighting on the woman's face doesn't match that of the unicorn's. This may just be because you want her to see dim compared to the GLOW of the unicorn, but to me it looks a bit weird. I'd suggest pushing the shadows back on her face, closer to her hairline, if that makes sense. (This is doubly so, since you made the tree behind her so bright--which I love!--but seems to me like that light would also be reflecting on her/her hair and it's definitely not.)
I also feel her shoulder is strange, somehow. I think it's the way the gown is off the shoulder, combined with where the... strap/button bit connects. I think making the strap connect further down the chemise (say, around the middle of her clavical) would make for a more realistic drape and would make the eye read her shoulder more easily, because right now I'm reading the top of the gown as her shoulder (if that makes sense) and it makes her look a bit deformed.
I'm also sure your anatomy is better than mine, but the extended front leg of the unicorn looks strangely small to me. I assume it's because you're shortening it because it's pointed away from the viewer, but especially compared with the back legs, it looks comically small, like if it stood, it's butt would be way up in the air.
Great work though, and I really look forward to seeing it finished!

This is exactly what I would have written, especially about the proportions on the front leg. I love that the maiden has "captured" the unicorn's tail with her toes.

"What is that in the trees?"
"Oh mah gawsh it's a dude!"
"Oh mah gawsh what's in his hand!"

I LOVE it! the only thing I would change is the man's face in the background...I think his face should be a bit more lit up...kind of make him stand out a bit more..but that's just me

Thanks! I didn't want him to stand out though, I went over his whole area with a darker brush to fade him out, I kind of want him to be almost missed.

Oh wow, that is gorgeous! Very nicely done! Almost don't notice the fella hidin' in the shadows at first. Beautiful lighting. The expressions are great and that unicorn is just....breathtaking! Lovely work! My only critique would be the foreleg looks a bit too skinny.
