Categories for Mogget pictures always make me frustrated. There is no place for a critter like him.
Anyway, I said I wanted to color some of the panels from this meme , so I did. I'd like to do a few more because this was a fun color/lighting experiment, so maybe there will be a couple more in the future? I don't know.
Mogget doesn't like the rain.

yeah, I'm in the middle of reading Lirael, and it definitely isn't as good as the first book. x(

If you can finish it, Lirael isn't too bad; it just goes on for too long and could have done with some major editing (like Harry Potter). Just whatever you do, don't go on to the other two books. The third was so bad I started it, paged through until I found the end battle and then put it down. I didn't even bother to skim it, and I haven't picked it up since. I didn't actually read the fourth book, but my mother (who is also a fan) did. She said it was terrible, and her taste is usually pretty good when it comes to fantasy novels. I recommend simply re-reading Sabriel again because I've found that it's his best work.
Also, since you're a Garth Nix fan, if you are even the slightest bit into science fiction, you should check out his novel Shade's Children. It's absolutely fantastic.

It's a post-apocalyptic story where children are not allowed to live past their fourteenth birthday; when they hit that age, they are taken away for a "harvest" by the Overlords where their brains and muscles are used to make these machine-like creatures whose apparent purpose is destruction. The book itself is about a group of four children who are acting under the tutelage of their mysterious leader Shade to figure out who the Overlords are and what their plan is. It's stupidly good, and I'm not even all that fond of sci fi.
