Now this is Spec's version of the basilisk (surprise, suprise).The size of a small crocodile and armed with a venomous bite, it cruises the Amazon in search of prey.

So can it still run on water? With the mass of an alligator it'd need to be running pretty damn fast not to break the surface tension. Unless it has hollow bones, I suppose.

So many of your spec-lizards are venomous. Is there a reason for this? Increased predation from draks, maybe?

A lot of things are poisonous on Spec: the "passerines", the paintrees, the hummingbirds... I'd blame all the megapredators.
Besides, I did this after the Toxicofera discovery. I was high on venomous lizards.
