I love the quirky stylization of the scenery here, with those cubical and spherical bushes and treetops. I just love that little quail and its floating plume too. And those sweet-looking little perfectly round pink berries. Very nice, stylish drawing.

OMG. Favorite Disney movie EVER. Great work in capturing the cubical stylistic-ness of the film's background.

I always thought that they looked a bit more angular in that movie compared to the rest of the Disney movies 8]

This is my favorite Disney film! And it is because it's so stylistic; if you can, get the special edition dvd and watch the extras, it makes you go crazy for the amount of detail (and money omg) that went into this movie!
That being said I absolutely love how you did this. Your style actually reminds me of a famous Disney artist Mary Blair so this is basically a beautiful perfect picture to me! Love love love love. And I like the fat little quail XD

Oh man this is just all sorts of good!
Have you seen those showcases of the background-art in museums? We just recently had a Disney-showcase and it was just SO GOOD, all of the Sleeping Beauty-illustrations were to die for.

My absolute favorite part of that film is the backgrounds, especially the forests. I just stare and try to absorb it all. X)

I think this is the first disney movie with colored outlines, but it also has the most amazing backgrounds. I recommend getting it on dvd or bluray for the loads of concept art.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who liked how different the artistic style of Sleeping Beauty was! Anyway, I really think it's cool how you took the original Sleeping Beauty style (Curls in hair, square trees) and made it so unique to your way of art. Great job.

I always loved the backgrounds of Sleeping Beauty; so different and unique. Plus, square trees just make me laugh
I love how you drew this, though; so whimsical & stylistically true to the move, yet still....not. It's great
