And I'm only guessing that Rosalina is Peach's mum because they do look aΒ lot alike and Queen Rosalina is older than Princess Peach.

It's not technically mother/daughter. Β If you've seen Star Trek DS9, it's more like Jake and the woman who is the mirror universe counterpart of his mother. Β That's not a perfect example of the theory, but it's the best I can do.

More the fact that people are seeing the theory as one huge scandal - did Peach cheat on Mario?!? - while in fact, it's not the Peach we know. Just because she married Luigi in Rosalina's birth universe doesn't mean she can't marry Mario in this one.

Current-timeline Peach herself is the biggest contributor to the scandal though. She's mental, and these constant "kidnappings" are a ruse. It's more like she's uninterested in the prospect of being pair-bonded with Mario, and less about her not being able to. But I do get your point: one timeline version of a character doesn't necessarily have much to do with that same character in another timeline.

I'm talking about the Game Theorist. Β If you look at it that way, they are mother and daughter. That's how I see it and that is how I will always see it. But I understand what you are saying.

Oh, I know that you were referring to the Game Theory. So was I.
The theory was that the universe is like a heartbeat, with history repeating in an endless cycle, but slightly changed each time. Rosalina is from a prior iteration of the universe - a previous heartbeat - when that universe's Peach married that universe's Luigi. She survives the end of the universe because she cares for the Lumas, the creatures who make sure the heart keeps beating. That means that, yes, her parents are Peach and Luigi - but they aren't the Peach and Luigi that we know and love.

Still, I'm have my own reality and you have yours. The fact remains, even if it is a diffierent peach she still has the same genetic code, that technically they are mother and daughter.

Β From a science standpoint, the two Peaches would be considered the same person - even more so than identical twins would be, because where the twins' telmerones would eventually mutate differently as they age, the Peaches' telmerones wouldn't. Β (Telmerones are the ends of your DNA, which get shorter each time your cells divide. Β If you don't have any left, your organs start failing for no otherwise-explicable reason.)
From a "soul" standpoint, though - it really depends on who you ask. Β I personally think that the two Peaches would have different souls. Β But there may be others that say that since the rest of the universe was recycled, so would the souls.

Of course "life-force" (same as soul, just different words) wise they are different. Rosalinas peach and this peach are from two different universal constructs. In mario galaxy run we know that a couple of times a new big bang happens, and Rosalina in her space ship is exempt from these new big bangs. So while everyone she knows has been reborn in this world, they are NOT the people she knew. They are the same..... but different. Even so, Peach is still her mother (based off the theory anyway) from Rosalina's perspective. I find it kinda tragic. Rosalina lost her mother a long time ago when she was little, and now here she is a few feet from her and peach doesn't even know her. You gotta wonder what that is doing to her.Β
However this is all just based on the theory of Peach being Rosalina's mother. I like to think Peach is her mother, so that's my reality. But you bring up interseting points as well.Β
