I thought she got her memories back from being Nightmare. Those may include such things, or maybe she doesn't actually know how or why. Goodness, this could be terribly awkward for her, I never thought of it until today.

In fact she did and in abstract knowledge and logic she's totally adult. In fact she she understands more things than 90% of readers noticed. She is very strange mix of smart adult and a child.

Here at this moment, the story itself can now go more than two ways and this "Nix/Nightmare Moon" is holding which way that path can be.

yes - this moment in story was strong one
it was one of the few where darker themes got over that boundary of physical violence that is often frown upon by many fans
but I was touched by it
