this is my 3rd and final submission at this weeks camera clu mono comp...comments pleaseRelated content

of the three, i like this one best. it seems a bit soft, maybe the lens (were you using the 18-250?), and i think it could stand a bit of sharpening. i'm also a little distracted by the way it ends on the right side (i am easily distracted). the lines in the background just abruptly change directions. i realize this must be the corner where two walls meet and there isn't much that can be done about it.
i'm thinking maybe (just for future as you can't change this one) that a horizontal composition of this subject might be interesting. it would contrast with the vertical nature of the subject and you could show more of the wall leading up to and proceeding away for the ring. anyway, just a thought.
it's a good picture that has inspired me and gotten me thinking creatively. well done.

I really dont know hun.. that would depend on the judge. Technically I cant see anything wrong with this shot. But I am not to sure about the interest it would hold. But as me say... that would be the judges decision.

thats the problem with theses bloody judges its more on what they like rather than the technical merit its so frustrating but i love it!!!

haha.. yes you are right with that. It can be a nightmare. But in time you will get to know the judges in you club and then you can take piccies they like before the competition. xxx

yes.. and everyone knows thats not how its done.. but everyone does it. Its a shame really and I had a few words already with our comittee secretary about things like that. But... always the same come back... its always been like that and judges always been the same. But then .. thinking about it... when we look at images on here, do we only see the technical side of things ? Or do we look at an image and the first thing we think is if we like it or not.. then... maybe... we look closer and see the technical side. Thats why I like being on here so much and looking at other peoples images. Gives me a small taste of what the judges go through. Rather them then me lol xxx
