This time... I'm intending to join a competition... OAO" Finally... I join art competitions like... Once in a blue moon... Guess that I seriously need to train myself with competition knowledge thingies...I took around... 5 - 6 hours, if I'm not mistaken, to the finished work... It was fun really as I was trying out other brush in the Photoshop CS3's collection other than the usual typical rounded brush... This brush I used actually can mimic Chinese or Japanese brush quite well...
& I may or may not submit another few more versions... Just maybe... But I'm rather satisfied with this one... =3
The competition required the contestants to get inspiration or at least make your artwork look 'calligraphic'-like to be accepted... I'm not really sure about that but I've completed OKAMI several times in a roll & I NEVER EVER get bored of it AT ALL... Must be the Chinese /Japanese brush strokes that stucked in my head so much... Not that I'm complaining, since that I considered old Chinese/Japanese brush artworks as timeless beautiful works of art...
Some friends called me old fashioned for thinking like that, but I supposed I gotta thank my dad for 'fusing' the sense of 'loving' ancient Chinese/Japanese artworks since I was in school days... XDDDDD
OKAMI (C) CAPCOM + Clover Studios - You guys did a magnificent jobs in this game!! I can't wait to try out the Wii version!!! X3

Woohoo Okami rocks! I love the brush strokes. The scenery looks so peaceful..and looking at the sakura petals falling sooo makes me wanna play the game again XD Good luck Grace!

I know what you're talking about with never getting bored with the game!
It does get in you. For example, after the last time I played through, it took me a few hours to get over the fact that I couldn't do the painting moves in other games/real life.
