Description
A simple one of my scallywag character Sornryl. This was the result of his character test render I performed after rebuilding my DS runtime. I didn't paint any details or hair, just did some grading and lighting refinements. I felt he was worthy of the WIPs album, that rarely receives anything lol

Not as such, I have to export fibermesh OBJ from Garibaldi to render it in iray. Some things I will rig if practical. I do what ever is best for the render, sometimes am painting it haha

No dark elf I make can truly capture the kick-ass legendary character of our old friend Jaderail. But he definitely led me to have an interest for dark elves that's for sure

I love to see portraits of drow! They're such an exciting and handsome race, although I always prefer the neutral or good ones to the evil ones.

Yeah I'm not fond of pure evil, and hate antagonists that think and call themselves "evil", just isn't believable. A good antagonist believes what they are doing is "right" and justified, they just contrast the protagonist and audiences common views. But I also don't believe in pure "good" either. Always some light and dark in all of us, so for that reason I dont like the pure evil / needlessly savage depictions of Dark elves either

That is true, I shouldn't confuse story roles with the way they carry themselves or interact with other biengs. A story following a anti-protagoinst could have a genuinely good anti-antagonist. Yeah main thing for me is its all perspective, I appreciate depictions of evil and good with characterizations of grey.
And yah that can change in an instant depending on events as you say haha
