Just like Garnet, Onyx is a fusion between two smaller gems: Hematite and Snowflake Obsidian. She happens to have four eyes, two small ones of her forehead which she prefers to keep hidden underneath the headband she wears around her head. Onyx also has the elemental power of earth, she has the ability to control and move rocks either telepathically or physically since she has supernatural strength. Out of all the gems, she is the most protective over Steven. Being the courageous gem that she is, Onyx places others before herself and is willing to sacrifice herself for those close to her. Since Onyx enjoys the planet Earth, she is curious about human customs and voluntarily does them to act as normally as any human would. Since her weapons are steel boots, Onyx tends to use kicking techniques whenever in battle.
