YOU THOUGHT I WAS DONE AHAHAHA I'VE FOOLED YOU ALLOkay. NOW I'm done with sketch dumps. For the night. This is the most important one, anyway.
Concept character sketches for an animated film of Mozart's and Da Ponte's opera Don Giovanni, a collaboration between myself and the conductor .
I drew most of these in California. In fact, ALL of them in California. To distract myself. From the California.

Also, I recently learned that Da Ponte once owned and ran a brothel. It got him banished from Venice, and now I'm a little wary about Giovanni's seduction methods.

I`ve looked up another recording space and it seems as if the place where DG premiered sounds good. VERY good in fact, I`ll detail it in the note further. Sorry, incapacitated and drugged out with ginseng and painkillers at the moment. But your DG artwork has made me so very happy. =].

Thanks! I finished my film about as finished as it's going to be, and it's the stupidest thing I've ever made, yet I still feel like showing it off. Oh, animation.
Get better soon, don't push yourself too hard, allow yourself time to rest because it makes those periods of work even more productive.

These are still a lot of concept sketches I'm not particularly happy about, but I feel I'm moving in the right direction. I look forward to how they look years from now when they've all become their own. Your encouragement is a gem to me. Thank you so much.
