Description Now with tassets, and the finally-finished sword. For scale, the sword is a bit over 150cm/60" total. Helmet and gauntlets are next in line, ater them a falling buffe, then I'll shorten the spaulders a bit and add a full arm harness.
While the tassets work fine (especially considering the <$40 price tag for the pair), there are a couple of problems with it, so they may or may not be replaced later on.
Internal construction: sliding rivets w/ extremely short slots on the inner sides and leathers in the centre and outer sides.

forty dollars for those tassets...you are a scoundrel! (though I can't see them very well behind the sword, they look most appropriate for that armour.

Could you not pull those shoulders up under the strap? It looks like they are hanging about four fingers too low. The corner in the inside of the elbow MUST be uncomfortable.

The tassets don't line up with the sides of the faulds, and the central white strip isn't as straight as I would've liked, but the owner is satisfied.

He only complained about chafing when he only wore a single linen shirt under the spaulders for 12 hours, but indeed, it looks a bit too long. It's also only tied on for now - the owner still makes up his mind about some details, and I didn't really want to spend time of stuff I'll probably have to change later, and he didn't object.
