I stopped having a life in 2008... Because my parents let me have access to the computer. They, luckily, never let me have a YouTube or Google account because, well, the reason's pretty obvious.

Accurate. Accurate AF. I stopped having a life in 2005.. because my parents gave me access to le' interwebs. Granted, it was strictly monitored, but I spent a LOT of time on there.

Hello there. I was just informed that this account and this stamp existed. I do not mind that you recreated it, because you did give full credit for it. I would just like to advise you in the future to ask the original creator if you can before you do. This may cause a some troubles for you if one of the original creators of the original stamp finds it, and doesn't take it as well as I did.
Otherwise, hope you have fun assembling your collection. Remember, keeping them organized in your favorites is easier than recreating them, especially if permission is denied!

StampsGoneMissing In reply to 13Nyx [2011-12-15 17:33:05 +0000 UTC]
Please pardon my mistake in neglecting to notify you... this account was mainly started as part of an attempt to resurrect *missing* stamps, not to copy them or anything else that could otherwise be considered as wrong or hurtful in any way. For stamps that exist, they are usually of course already organized in my favorites; I would never go to the trouble of re-creating ones that are already fully functional.
As such, for the still-active accounts, I should have taken the time to inquire about their stamps' disappearance, instead of just assuming it would be a welcomed thing by everyone (my only thought at the time was that I love it when/if someone rescues something I had initially created specifically for the purpose of sharing, that is suddenly lost from existence). I should have also realized that there could be those who might react to it very negatively... as indeed a few did.
The issue that certain others (only 2 or so) attacked my account for was NOT about re-creating (there was none at that time) but for actually re-posting the original stamps themselves, when they felt if the original is gone, it should stay gone (regardless of the possible reasons), claiming the "artist copyrights" would be in violation by continuing to share the stamp (even though stamps are meant to be shared & used, unlike regular art). But the idea of re-creating was suggested as an alternative, for the ones that can't be adopted, since they are just generic words, and words or ideas alone cannot be "copyrighted" (only the specific form that someone has made from them). So I went about taking everything else down, and starting from scratch, minus the ones who did get a positive reaction so far.
All that said... is your version of this stamp still available? (Because, I would gladly re-direct this to that one instead) Or was there a reason for its disappearance? (statistical or spacewise or clearing out old deviations, etc in which case you can opt for adoption or I can stick with this version) Thank you.
