Description
A surprise gift for ~volpe-de-fuego from our mutual friend Robert. Hence why it was never posted in my Art Status list.We are NINJAS!! lol
It's Malibu & Delilah, the two gargoyle clones from Disney's Gargoyles!
This was another fun piece. I've never drawn Delilah before so I hope she looks like she should. I also found out that I don't have any teal markers when I started this piece, since Malibu always looked to me like a kinda of teal/mint green color. I hope his color isn't too off or anything.
They're ready to take on the world, side by side!

I was never able to use markers so I higly envy people like you that looks so at ease witht hat tool.
Nice work indeed, this is one of my favourite couple of the show (sadly not used very much), Rob has nice ideas to gift his friends (that also make the commissinated drawer enjoy the subject)

I used to be terrified of markers, just used color pencils all the time back in High School and the early early part of my online career I guess. Now I absolutely love them! I keep thinking I probably need to try some other stuff too, but it's so hard to not want to use my markers lol.
It's also a vice versa sort of thing for me too though, I really envy your digital art skills, however I've never been as good with that stuff as I am with pencil, paper, and ink. You really do a fantastic job!
Poor Malibu and Delilah definitely need some more love, it was honestly kinda hard to find good reference pictures for them so I ended up using one of my Gargoyles comics to get their appearance down.
He does, this was the first art I was asked to do by him, but it was fun! I've been told that ~volpe-de-fuego loves it, she's just been pretty busy with real life lately, so for that I am very greatful

Well I can't really take credit for them as a couple. It was requested as part of the gift, but on top of that in the comics they produced there was one that kinda shows Delilah and Malibu sharing a kinda side by side hug after a kind of battle with the clones and what not.
I'm not sure if you've got any of the comics or not, but that's kinda where the pairing I think started.
Poor Brooklyn looked from Elisa & Goliath, then to Angela & Broadway then turns around to see his clone with Delilah and was like "are you kidding me?" lol.
Poor guy just can't win, well not until his Timedance, good things come to those who wait I believe

Ah. I see. I sadly never got to by or read the comics at all. I wish I did. 
As for Brooklyn. I know! Such a charming gentlemen with women, and he is jsut ignored. First Maggie, and then Angela. Now, his clone gets lucky with a clone hybrid of Demona and Elisa mixed together. Talk about insult to injury. 
Speaking of which, I heard about this fanfiction series had made canon with the very last issue of the Gargoyles comic series, but I know little of it and other big popular Gargoyle fanfics like Timedancer as I never could find where they are to read despite looking everywhere. Maybe you could link me to them so a little fan as myself can finally be caught up with the rest of the Gargoyles community, please?
Also, just to give heads up when you look into the Underground Warriors Clan roster, you will find that I had broken up Katana from Brooklyn due to fan request in my DA group. Instead Katana joined with my clan while Brooklyn, still with the Manhattan Clan, couples with Maggie after Talon is killed off. However, I am still doubting this despite making mention of it only in the character roster listing. Also, it seems the fans who favored the Brooklyn/Maggie coupling have gone quiet and gone inactive. So, should I stick with it or go back and undo it keeping Brooklyn and Katana together?

I need to get the last few comics, I think the last four, out of 12 I believe. I understand though, I haven't gotten the last ones because I've needed to save for other stuff.
Sometimes love sucks, but ya know, that struggle of his and all that he's been through makes him a more interesting character to me.

Hmm well I personally liked the idea of Brooklyn and Katana, but then I always liked Maggie and Talon together myself, but for me (again personally) I thought it was cool that Brooklyn would find his mate during his years Timedancing. However, that being said, I believe since it is your group you should be the one to decide. I've seen quite a few Brooklyn & So and So pairings through my time investigating and being in the fandom, but I guess I just kinda got lucky that the mate he finally did find and is I guess canon is one I liked him with. However, I LOVE Sata with him too even though she's fan created. So I'd say it's kinda whatever you'd like.

Okay. I will do that. Consider by myself what I really want with who will be Brooklyn's mate in my current fanfic series. As much as I like Maggie as I never care for Talon, I also like Katana with Brooklyn. How do I pick between those 2?
By the way, I thought Sata was the unofficial version of Katana before Greg Wiesman finally revealed her in his own image?

Sata is The Gargoyles Saga version of Brooklyn's mate, and also whom you see `bri-chan drawing with him the most I believe. She is not canon, Katana is, especially now that she and their son and egg were shown in the last comic released. However, I honestly like them both. I think The Gargoyles Saga version of Timedancer is kind of I guess AU to the canon universe.

Well, I already decided by this morning and stick with Katana. But, I am now surprised to learn now Sata is completely different from Katana. However, even if I wanted to use her in my story, I will have to ask Bri-Chan's permission first which would be hard. So, looks like it is best to stick with Katana... Although Sata looked so nice with Brooklyn too. UGH!

Well she doesn't actually belong to `bri-chan that I know of, I think she's like a collaborative property of the people who got together and did The Gargoyles Saga stories, or probably more specifically the Timedancer spin-off.
Aww I'm sorry, I'm sure if you really wanted to use Sata, you could ask someone. Just check out The Gargoyles Saga link I gave ya the other day.

Hmm honestly, I like them both, for their own reasons. I really liked Sata's design, and I'm a BIG fan of *MommySpike 's fanfics with Brooklyn, Sata, Ariana and Graeme. However, when I saw Katana's official design from the comics, I fell in love with her too! So really I think I'm a fan of both for their own reasons.

Well, I will try that in asking if I could with Sata, but I am still stuck as deciding at choosing between her and Katana. Like you, I seem to like both a and fan of both as well. I loved how the fan art depicted Brooklyn so happy and even more alive with Sata, but also love the idea of Katana being with Brooklyn from the comic book series finally giving him an official mate.
Is it possible for Brooklyn to have both Sata and Katana without seeming to be a pig of a male? Or it is a dumb, embarasing idea? I mean, after all, we both think he is, and always has been, the 'stud muffin' of the Gargoyles universe.

Well I think the situation with Katana that may seem like Brooklyn is a bit more "alive" with Sata, is that Katana has kinda sorta essentially just been officially introduced as his mate. Other than ~ritam drawing her version of Katana with Brooklyn, before the comics introduced the official canon Katana, Sata was the one I think I saw most of the time with him as well.
Hmm well I say you can most certainly place Brooklyn with whoever you'd like in your art/fanfics, I usually just pick one or the other personally. BUT that is just me and my own preference. It does make it hard though because I like both Sata and Katana for sure lol.

Hmm my opinion, honestly, would be to pick one.
However, I think that's just my own moral ideals speaking there. If any of my characters have a mate, it's typically just one, or at least one at a time lol. I think I'm also hung up on the idea that Sata is technically an AU mate to Brooklyn, since The Gargoyles Saga is fan written and not canon, while Katana is now technically canon especially since she has an official design now. So I guess I look at them as existing in different universes, as opposed to in the same one.
Those are just my thoughts on it though, I still say do whatever YOU want to do

However, this requires I ask Ritam first if I can use her Sata. If so, then okay. If not, then automatically it is just Brooklyn and Katana. So, either way, it is win-win situation for our famous red horned and beaked gargoyle of the Manhattan Clan.

Well I'm not entirely sure Sata belongs to anyone specifically, I'd say she's property of The Gargoyles Saga if anything, and that was a bunch of people collaboratively writing. So ya might just check the website there and see if there's anyone you can ask if you'd like to use Sata for your fanfic.
Well, I'm fixing to try and get some commissions going again, since I need a lil cash right now, so I'm thinking my plate may be kinda full. However, if I find myself with some extra time and energy I'll definitely hit ya up

Oh! I got 2 contests going on. Just read my blogs in the DA group. One is to create a mottot for the group, as it is a military squad unit other than just a gargoyle clan. The other is to either add in your art to the groups favorites or draw my clan character in your art style. Hope you enjoy!
