Sometimes I do put a lot of thought into it, sometimes they just fall together. This time luck was on my side. My husband and I have been deathly sick for 3 days from food poisoning, and I am surprised I was able to sit awake long enough to finish it. I guess it was my own personal therapy......

Art is good for all kinds of things isn't it lol? I do hope you guys feel well again very quickly! My MIL really hurt my feelings and pissed me off today so I finished the Stairway to Heaven project. Its not great but I needed to do something productive to channel all that crap so I wouldn't be nasty in return.

We are recovering...finally ate a little yesterday. After a hellish couple of days I didn't think I would ever trust food again....but guess I don't have a choice LOL

Lol yes, you are absolutely right. It was good motivation although I will probably do it again there are some elements that I didn't add that I would like to include at some point in the future. But right now I have an idea for a fire fairy floating around in my head and need to track down the stock to make that one happen lol.

Wow, some of those groups are wee bit snooty aren't they? I wonder how many of them scare off a lot of people before they even get started! Weren't any of them ever beginners? And what happened to helping other artists improve? Sheesh lol!

You BET some of them are TOO snotty!! Are you kidding......THEM beginners ????? hahahahahahaha....yeah RIGHT! I have been outright refused be a couple of groups, and a couple others decline every work I submitted. I ended up sayin' scr*w you and quit. Every once in a while you will find someone who is willing to throw you a couple bones Since you do traditional art, check out some of the groups I belong to on my profile page. Art Has Soul, and quite a few others will accept ALL art without judgement. Also try the group that I wrote a journal about also on my profile page. That group is WONDERFUL!!!
Don't get discouraged Sonja....you are NOT a beginner....but needing some refreshment in your art. You are far from drawing stick people LOL

I will definitely check them out. I joined a couple of coloring groups as well, that offer line art to color. Sounds simple but I want to go back to the basics and really learn how to use digital media so I have to kind of go back to the beginning. And yes I am a little bit past stick figures although at the moment I am practicing skeletons and muscles lol. Gotta know how it fits together and works if I want it to be realistic.
I agree with the pre mades as well, It really stretches the skills and the imagination to have to put it together and then make sure that it all fits seamlessly. That's why I will eventually do the stairway to heaven one over again. Its just a little bit off and not as well blended as I would like. But sometimes, they are just too perfect for an idea.
