Some more Jekyll & Hyde. I love the recently closed Finnish production and it keeps inspiring me, I can't help this... The previous one I posted was a bit of a downer, so here's a little sketch to lighten the mood. In my headcanon, when Lucy goes to visit Jekyll's laboratory, she ends up spending the whole afternoon there. He shows her chemistry tricks.The more I look up videos of other productions of Jekyll & Hyde the musical, the more I appreciate the Finnish one. The Finnish show, despite being over now, inspires lots of feelings and also nice scenarios like this in my mind. The other productions I've watched so far mostly inspire horror in me, but not in the right way. It's amazing how the same source material can be transformed depending on the creative team...

I saw some of the original staging, and the recent tour (that flopped in New York) From the way you talk about it, I would've loved to see this production!!

I've seen some clips from those productions, and yeah, they don't really seem to be on the same level as the Finnish one, at least in my opinion... The Finnish production's hard to top though: it was really some of the best theatre I've ever seen. Amazing acting, great singing voices, and absolutely gorgeous set, light and costume design. One of my favourite productions ever for sure.
