Description Finished on April 28th 2020, this one is pretty neat, IMO.

This is, once again! A return to my intense obsession with Farmworld Finn/Ice Prince Finn and Farmworld in general! I mentioned it back with the other unposted Farmworld stuff, but pretty much since the second it aired, I've found the entire concept so fascinating that basically every few years I end up coming back to the same idea of an AU where Farmworld continues into the present day of the Land of Ooo.

So! Who is this? It's Farmworld Finn's unnamed baby brother we saw in the episode! I decided to name him Penn, after Finn's name in the original pilot episode, and IIRC that's where his clothes come from too, inspired by the pajamas Penn wore in them, mixed with the clothes we saw the Farmworld version of Martin wear as well, so it'd look like an actual outfit.

Essentially, while I'm somewhat forgetting the finer details, what I wanted was for Penn to be the Marceline to Finn's Ice King, a close loved one that Finn deeply cares for and who cares for Finn despite his insanity, who keeps being pushed away by Finn to protect him. But, of course, Penn is just human! He doesn't have the Crown! How would he be allowed to keep being in the story as time went on, I asked myself?

And then I thought, hey, wouldn't it be kind of a neat idea to bring in an idea from the mainline Land of Ooo? So, in this, I forgot how, perhaps it was intentional, when Penn's 18, he ends up turned into a grass creature, just as cursed as his brother to wander the land eternally, but even more harshly, the cold is inhospitable to plants!

There was a lot more thoughts and more tragedy about this what with the nature of the Crown and all, but I unfortunately don't remember all of it and I think that this describes it well enough! When, if ever, will I sit down to actually write a damn fanfic about this? Who knows! But I know that I clearly haven't lost this obsession in a decade, so I doubt I'm ever going to fully be able to stop having ideas about it.
