"Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness..."I'm too dumb to read poetry; I learnt the quote through long association with P. G. Wodehouse's Jeeves stories.
Prussia and Germany sweeping the grounds of Sanssouci, as the Prussian court moves from Potsdam to Berlin for the winter. (Well, at least Germany is.)

Oh my goodness. I love this so much. My two very favorite characters, in the home of my very favorite historical figure. And on top of that, it's absolutely gorgeous. This makes me want to go to Sanssouci even more than I already do! Bravo.

Another beautiful picture, filled with that classical feel of old imperial pictures. The background is grand, the colours are wonderful and in tone with the mood conveyed, and the outfits are simply historically delighting!

EEEEEEE! So beautiful! I love the colouring and mood of this pic, how it beautifully sets off your line art. I love how the Sansoucci columns curve away from the point of focus to give the piece a lot of depth.

Yes! ironically, in deepest winter =w= the palace is really tiny, but set in a huge park.

Yeahhh I wish I had gone in better weather so I had more energy to explore the park (it was snowing heavily the whole time ahahah) but we arrived there just after having toddled up some minor Alpine foothills (and Neuschwanstein *3*)
Oh there was an Old Fritz cosplayer in Sanssouci when I was there! Playing the flute lol
