I did this over the summer, and its been sitting in my computer since then. Took me a day, on and off.Hayden and his father Balto, on his boat.

It's good, I just wish you had done some shading, even only some cartoon-ish shading.

Yeah, except for the series, unlike anime, there is no shading, only one base color for the characters, although the background does have some shading.

Pretty good. Got an AMV making thing so I made 3 AMVs. We got the WiiFit, so I've been messing with that, and we started watching Batman The Animated Series. It's been a fun week, and I don't look forward to going back to school. v.v

I don't think anyone's looking foreward to school again. XDD We got a 360 and I've been killing Germans on Hell's Highway all week. Also been watching Indiana Jones. I got three new sketch books too.

Sounds fun. I really need to see that movie. >.<
Oh, and we got Mario Kart for the Wii. That's fun, though not nearly as fun as killing Germans I'm sure.

Cool- I like Hayden's design; you can tell he's both young and Balto's son. It looks like you put a lot of detail into Balto's boat; nice variations of colors on it, too- it makes me feel like the boat itself was built out of various timbers and oaks. You did a great job on the background, too- nice sunrise colors. Very nice work

I like Hayden too, and I have to say he's my favorite Balto OC I've done yet (my other characters don't count, since Shem is Priates/Balto, exc.). I've been meaning to do some photoshop work as well, but I've only done photo manipulations since my Commie peice.
Glad you like the background. The boat was tough.Each plank of wood had to be done...

I wish I had Photoshop or that program where you can copy and paste your drawings onto actual photographs- I've seen comic strips and art like that, and I've been looking everywhere at places like Best Buy to find a package.
Y'know, confidentially, Tyrra almost started out as a fan-character. I wrote it to where she was supposed to be Balto's 8X-great granddaughter with family connections to both Buck from The Call of the Wild and White Fang.
It's always good to be detailed. It shows that you have a dedication to your art-style. Heck, I just do it because I think it kinda looks cool XD

Really? She's a cool character anyway, but she would've been a good fan character, too. She'd have realtions to White Fang? Sweet. I loved that movie.
Yeah, I guess, it only takes you twice as long to finish. That's really why I have nothing in my gallery. I spend so much time on one peice, don't get it done, and move onto another peice.

Technically, the family connection she'd have to White Fang would be foster. In the comic, Tyrra's dad, Ian, was raised by a wolf named Bellus, and she's supposed to be a distant 2nd. cousin or aunt to White Fang (I haven't planned it in full detail).
The idea of her dad being raised by a wolf came from an old radio show character I read about from "Sgt. Preston of the Yukon." In the show, Sgt. Preston's husky sidekick, Yukon King, was raised by a wolf.
In essence, because my comic is going through a HUGE makeover, Tyrra will sort be like an Abe Sapien character in the cast.

I guess; it's in my continuity that her mother died before her "toddler months", and long story short, it's one of the reasons she's an arachnophobic.
Since Tyrra's not a fan-character anymore, there's no connection at all, but there may be some hints just for coolness (I don't know).
