OMG, I finally got something done. lol. I know its been a few weeks, but life's been hell for me lately with school and work, and after getting my paws on a new tablet, I finally made time to get this finished.
This is my OC Pierce, an anthro wolf warrior who specializes in pole arms. Currently Pierce has worked through the ranks of the army and has been promoted from Recruit up to Reinforcer. His weapon and armor have been upgraded to show off his rank, but even though it's not wise to have it with him, Pierce does manage to keep his Serene Amulet on him at all times. Pierce has trusted this medallion as his good luck charm in battle and completing successful missions, and continues to keep his faith in this amulet. Pierce doesn't know how much this amulet will truly mean to him in just a few short years.
Pierce is seen here, on top of the Ranks Tower, a location that all higher ranking officers train, practicing his technique with his newly upgraded spear after an overnight shower. Adding just another blade to the end has certainly added alot more power to this spear making it look more like an extremely long battle axe, but it comes at a cost of weight and speed. Pierce likes his alone time, and prefers to train alone around dawn or dusk. He's always been a little antisocial, and with the extra responsibility of leading the reinforcements when needed add up, he doesn't need to hear any kind of bs from anyone. Pierce just wants to be calm, stressfree, and alone.
Thank you to all my friends, so many I can't list them all, who have used some of their own time to watch me do this picture from start to finish on Livestream. Was an honor to have me perform before you. This picture took about 10-12 hours from start to finish, and took place all on Paint Tool SAI.
I'm very proud of this picture, first decent background digitally (and that is a ton of work
) and I got to use my new bamboo tablet (it's such a dream 
). I hope this is the beginning of a string of uploads from me in the upcoming days/weeks. Got like 5-6 pictures in the works and a few being close to completion, some being digital and some being traditional. Pierce owned by

You did very well on this. This perspective is very hard to take on XD; I personally Can't do this.
I only would suggest on the fence posts that you widen the er..holes and maybe smooth the top a tad? I wish I could show you the hand gestures I just did at the computer to try to get my point across that you can't see...! XD

Yea I know exactly what you mean, and I would of put more effort into the railing, but after working on it for a week and so close to getting a picture done, I finally ran out of patience. Next time, I'll try not to rush the end so much because then it'll make something stand out and be subpar, like we see here in the railing. Thank you.

Dang that's a long polearm o.O I'm fond of glaives myself.
It's a wonderful drawing though. The only thing I'd like to point out is that the puddle he's stepping in is very blurry compared to the style the rest is drawn in. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, but the spot immediately drew my attention, rather than the character.

Yea I get what you are saying, but I couldn't find a way to do that puddle any other way with what little patience I had left. After working on a picture for a week taking around 12-15 hours of time, it really starts to get to ya.

Anyways, you did a great job on the highlights and texturing. The dynamic pose conveys his movement quite nicely, and really emphasizes the power behind that swing.

The armor is probably my favorite part of this picture. I'm so glad I got that water-y shine to it. Feels so cooling and calm to me, even though he's probably going to get end some lives in a not so calm fashion.

This came out amazing
From Pierce himself, to the background, you really outdid yourself. The shine effect on the armor, the texture on the scarf, proportion and his pose, I could keep going, lol. Everything looks great here pal. The only gripe I have is that the puddles might be a little too evenly spaced out.. but then again, that's really not a big deal at all xD
Wonderfully executed, and definitely your best piece (IMO). You can only go up from here, right? Can't wait to see what you produce next.

Oh yes, the mystery of the evenly spaced out puddles. Nature must have perfect balance, even if it was with the simplest of things, like the distance between each puddle lol.

Wow, so beautiful. If I may ask, how did you manage the texture in his armor in SAI? I too, use SAI, and would like to know ^^.

To answer your question, I used the Watercolor A texture at 100% scale and 56% strength, then I added a clipped layer with the same texture, but lowered opacity to 60% and increased the strength to 60%. Hopefully that'll help. Tell me if it doesn't work out for ya.
