I am working on something very similar at the moment. However, your poster is so fantastic I must bow in deference! Awesome job!

Thank you very much ! Such kind words from an Art Deco travel posters specialist mean a lot to me, really. I love your own travel posters, too. So very much in the original Art Deco style, but with a nice, personal contemporary touch and a "modern" choice of colors. I can't wait to see what you come up with on a Zeppelin theme...

Thanks a lot! I must say, however, that I actually don't try to go for a contemporary style; I try to make my posters as period-accurate as possible without plagiarizing original designs. Oh well...I guess I will have to refine my style even further.
As for the zeppelin painting, I am currently working on another view of the R100 visiting Toronto in 1930. Specifically, I am adapting the following photograph:

I have decided to shift into a more three-dimensional style (like yours) with gradients and shading. Hopefully it turns out well...

The Toronto photo sure offers a great base for a new travel poster. I love the skyline and the wonderful skyscrapers in it, too, and I can't wait to see what you'll come up with. I also love your New York Art Deco clock : great idea ! I sometimes grow tired of doing "just" graphic stuff, especially when it's virtual, electronic only, and feel the need to really "make" something. I'm sure you can understand what I mean.

There is something satisfying in digital graphic work, too, chiefly the endless variations it allows, IMO. I never get tired of trying and trying again... a different color for the background, another font, a shadow here,an extra gradient there, etc... all things the traditional media do not offer. Anyway, as they say, the media you use doesn't count : it's just about expressing your own personal inner self and universe ! Let's put it that way : the process of digital creation is highly satisfying, it's when I switch off my computer, that this awful feeling of emptiness and waste and nothingness suddenly overwhelms me. Oh well...

Thanks a lot for your interest in what I do ! I really appreciate this. Sorry for the late reply, but I was away from my computer and any Internet connection for the whole Summer season.
