I was supposed to be doing somebodies web logo, but I couldn't get this picture out of my head. So I grabbed a piece of paper, scribbled out the outline and I could finally get back to my paying project. Afterwords, I gleefully colored him. Originally he was supposed to have white wings, but that didn't work with the native influence, so I gave him hawks wings.And then spent the next two days cussing as I had to find reference and color them in. Oh well....
As an interesting note, he once got me kicked out of a renn faire. He offended a male patron, and we refused to take him down so they booted us. He's Dressed for gods sake. Boy did we have to grovel to get back in that faire. I had to promise not to have _any_ artwork out that they considered offensive.
The funny thing is I sold more artistic "contraband" that next year....

I love this one. You would have never gotten kicked out of MMRF with this. There are wenches dressed worse than that at other festivals. I think you are magnificent and hope to one day see you come to Mid Michigan Ren Fest.

See, that's the thing I just don't get about people. You can have half a dozen women slinking around in leather, and that's just fine, but put one male in a seductive pose of sorts and watch the men get grumpy... is it because they're jealous or they find themselves staring? *snort-laugh*
Now if Sandra had done this one, I can't help but think there'd been no chaps at all...
I can easily see someone getting one of these and then finding a model and making a photo of it. It's that good of a set up.

Ooooooh! Can I borrow him? Dreamcatchers are supposed to keep away bad dreams, right? Never know, I might just have one! LOL
By the way, he's yummy! And the picture is wonderful! Might have been a pain to find a reference for the wingfeathers, but very worth it.

I always love Native American themed art done so well. You're right, white wings wouldn't have gone as well as those lovely hawk wings.
