Hay there, thats kinda cool with u using a movie figure inside it too. Its a good effort with the crafting with your current exp but Id say that the armour is a tad out, check out the art of Mark of chaos that G.W released and have a look at the way chaos armour is shaped and built up.
The figure itself (in proportion) dus'nt look as imposing as a chaos warrior. G. W seem to like "the chunk" for example, hands are huge in comparison...
Hope that helps

Here is a random comment. Ive decided hes not going to be painted any time soon, I like the idea I can look at him as a sculpt and say "I sculpted that"

Much better than the Forgeworld one, IMO.
And that's why I have to ask... could you do another one? I'd love to get one!

If you do (or if you take comissions) please get back to me.

EvanCampbell In reply to steveyoungsculptor [2008-02-27 08:48:58 +0000 UTC]

Thanks a lot Steve...I have spent years collecting reference from just about every kind of book or magazine. If it is for a certain likeness I am sure you can find tons of stuff on line...but it might take some searching. National Geographic always have really great close ups of faces. Many art stores have books on anatomy human or animal. I also found books on aging that have been very helpful. Medical supplies companies sell excellent books on the human body as well.

V, helpfull. thanks. I only got a few anatomy books and like you say, collecting reference takes a while... My goal is to be up there with you guys. want to be an artist among artists. any luck finding wet clay supplyers?

Awsome detail on the sword (plasticard or milliput?) the little notches and cuts really help it to look rusty.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

steveyoungsculptor In reply to Thebuild [2008-02-14 14:10:04 +0000 UTC]

its plasticard wich I prefer way more... thanx

Thebuild In reply to steveyoungsculptor [2008-02-14 14:17:23 +0000 UTC]

I was going to say, trying to do that with milliput would have involved a ton of filing
