Wow! I love your take on these two! I also have them paired up in my NG, but it’s in the timeline where Starlight is redeemed and Twi sets the two up on a “mystery date” because she’s a useless shipper,,, The pair are shy and flustered around each other (they’re both afraid to mess up another relationship and live with the guilt of doing so) and when they do finally get together they’re like, the perfect couple lmao
I really enjoy people’s “Evil Starlight” headcanons! I’m a huge Starlight lover myself, so I was never able to bring myself to make her into a “disliked” character, but I can totally see how she’d end up going down that path without the proper intervention.
Also I’m happy you didn’t stick with making Moondancer’s physical design into a shameless Twilight clone O . O

personally me and my family are on a Starlight hate train but
i feel like with this headcanon i like her a lot more and can
actually get with her, i dont think her personality was ever the
problem for me but the lack of justification for her actions. but
now that i feel like ive given her sufficent reason to be the way
that she is i actually quite like her!

You gave both of their characters so much justice! Starlight's motivations felt silly by themselves, and Moondancer also had a really weak, unfufilled arc. I definitely feel like if Starlight had an almost equally petty/revengeful person to bounce ideas off of, it would've made more sense for it to have spiralled into the cult
