Picture of a story that nobody will ever hear of...

(note to people on my watchlist: DA was bugging earlier and didn't let me edit this, so I had to delete my previous pic and some comments too and re-submit this better version. Sorry if you see this twice )

I love this--especially the girl's expression. And I want her hair really badly..

I really can nto place my finger on it, and no it isn't the fact there is a huge bird within the image, but this puiece gives me the same feeling I feel when I read a poem form my favorate poetry writer Poe, his work inteitlted "The Rraven"

"Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
`Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou,' I said, `art sure no craven.
Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the nightly shore -
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!'
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'"

Poe

there is this intangible quality within every work you do, this darkness that permeates all your works,
yet brightens them at the same time.

child-like innocence rendered with the pencil of a necromancer.

but I ramble yet again.

this is great work!

Oh wow, this is quite beautiful, the colours are all very harmonious with each other, the soft flowing curling lines work well with them and the striped stockings are just so loved by everyone, this is a winner A very beautiful picture...

Kinda surreal, definitely in a weird children's book kind of way (a good thing. ^^) I like the frame, and the contrast of the colors for the girl and the bird.

This is really, really beautiful - it looks like a picture from a dream. One of those really neat dreams that should be a story...

*wishes she had something useful to say, but doesn't, so just favorites*

very nice piece. i'm glad u don't try to get rid of the sketchy feel to the drawing, it adds so much to the piece. i see that u're going a little heavier with ur coloring heh, i think it looks great. i adore the faces on the females in ur work, they're incredible. sorry i can't write more, i must retire to the bed for some sleep. great work. love the paper texture.

Very unique style. The colouring works well, and even has bits in other portions to balance out the piece. The washed look is really spectacular. The framing quality is also very intriguing, forming an arch at the center meeting at the mask. The background is also interesting for it's neutral colours, so as not to dominate the fore. Very elegant and delicate style with the torgis like appearance, yet some how falttened out a bit, which I think does soemthing fantastic to the work. In particular, the female figure appears even more frail and delicate, and contrasting with the mask at the top, appears like a porcelain doll. I think that is quite fascinating for what is implied by the idea. Excellent work. I think I will fav this.
