One day I might get a better camera than my phone. One day.

So I had this idea to make a custom May doll lingering for a while because I'm a total sucker for Pokémon Sapphire and I have finally done it. I had some of the most precious childhood memories all thanks to playing Pokémon Sapphire, so the 3rd generation of Pokémon will always be special to me.

This is how I did it: at first I wanted to use an Ever After High doll of Briar Beauty, but my boyfriend suggested to use a Moxie Girlz doll. Whenever we visit a toy store we always see those dolls on sale, so why the hell not. Plus, it would save me a reroot. For a while I had been debating whether I should make the May of the original Sapphire game or the May from the Alpha Sapphire game, but I chose to go with the first one because it comes closer to my childhood. Anyway, I got the doll and started by painting her eyes blue. Then I made a pair of leggings, socks and a skirt. I painted the hands white and black and added lace to create the gloves. I also cut her hair. I painted her shoes and glued pieces of cardboard to them to match the shoes in the anime and game. The bag is also made from cardboard. I made her the shirt and the bandana.

I'm so happy with how she turned out, I really am. Can't wait to have a photo shoot with this girl!
