It was sunny and pretty early in the morning, so maybe that helped. Nice to have a pool like that on your doorstep. Apparently a shark ended up in the pool a little while ago!

Well, look out before you get in! It must've got washed in by a really big wave, or something.

Hey, a quick message to let you know this has been featured in my journal.
If you could take a min to take a look at the other art featured it would be great too.

Thank you

Hi. I never replied to this message at the time, but it's just popped up at the bottom of my message pane - such a long time ago! Anyway, I just thought I'd say thank you for the feature. Rest assured that at the time I did look at the other deviants' work and enjoyed them!

Instant fav. So minimal yet energetic. A rare combination.

Thank you very much for the kind comment - and the fave of course - and sorry it's taken me a while to get around to saying so.

You're welcome. And it's no problem, I really think so.

Good work. I like the repetition and the way in which it is broken by the focal point caused by the diver. I wonder if this could be even more effective in B/W. Could be worth an experiment.

Thank you for your kind and detailed comments - it's always good to have feedback of this sort as I feel I'm still very much a learner when it comes to photography. As for B&W, I did have a quick go at doing that and found that the splash was somewhat lost against the background, which comes out as a rather mid-grey. Might be worth having a go in the Channel Mixer to change the colours somewhat before converting to mono, however.

Fair enough, it's good to here that you did think of the B/W and gave it a shot - it doesn't always work.

True - although as I said, perhaps I'll go back and have another try. The thing is that with so many other things - and so many other photos - things tend to fall by the wayside...

too true, I understand that. As always too many things to do and not enough time to do them!

Interesting and pleasant to watch. Refreshing...

Now I understand. You were referring to Newcastle in NSW, not in Britain. ha,ha. You nearly got me there and I was really wondering how this was possible (beachside outdoor pool in Newcastle ?)

So, it is not about the climate change...

Nope, not this time. You'd have to go way back in my gallery to here [link] to find one that's really about climate change...

Anyway, I'm glad you find it refreshing - that's what I was going for. Bright, fresh colours and sharp lines - like jumping in an outdoor pool, in fact...
