Description I cursed and got to my feet, breathing heavily. Now that the danger was over, I realised how tired I was. Every muscle in my body ached. I looked down at my clothes. They were slashed to pieces and full of bullet holes, but I was fine. Not a mark on me.

Nico's mouth hung open. "You just... with a sword... you just --"

"I think the river thing worked," I said.

"Oh gee," he said sarcastically. "You think?"

PJatO: The Last Olympian is owned by Rick Riordan.

Maybe Nico should be looking more shocked? Oh well. I read this and knew I just had to draw it at some point. It is definitely one of Nico's crowning moments of awesome. I am going through a Nico phase at the moment. He's just so awesome I can't help it!

::EDIT:: Sorry about the random black rectangle in the bottom right corner - the reason for that is that I ran out of paper and so my dear friend Lissy gave me some form her notebook and it has rectangles in for like the date or whatever.
Also, on reflection I want to redraw this scene. I feel I could do it betterer

It's really annoying - all the pictures I'm really proud of get much fewer faves than ones which I'm more "meh" about.
And it's Nico's shirt. You know, the one he's ALWAYS wearing and must STINK because he doesn't take it off. They're the dancing skeletons.

Yeah, that's true! It's really sweet :3 I can't remember if he ever told her about it. She'd probably laugh at him then hug him or something

Ahhh! I'll have to go and reread that bit right now.
And THE KISS! I love the way Riordan kept the dynamics of their relationship, with Annabeth making it hard for him XD

Zen-Clarke In reply to stravaganzette [2011-04-09 15:50:45 +0000 UTC]

Oh, yeah, totally. Well...I've read it before, I mean. xD I was re-reading the whole series though, so I'm finally at the last one again. xD

stravaganzette In reply to Zen-Clarke [2011-04-09 20:16:53 +0000 UTC]

Haha! I did that a few months ago. They only get better every time you read them

Zen-Clarke In reply to stravaganzette [2011-04-09 23:43:13 +0000 UTC]

I know! It's even better if you re-read them after you've read The Lost Hero. :] Coach Hedge is mentioned in the fifth book.

I KNOW! I was like AH MAH GAD
He wrote the letter saying that loadsa tree nymphs died trying to call the spirit of pan to fight or something, right? XD

Zen-Clarke In reply to stravaganzette [2011-04-10 17:25:14 +0000 UTC]

Yes. Yeah, I was so excited when I read it. I pulled out my phone to text my friend, but remembered she hasn't read The Lost Hero. So I texted the only other person I knew who had -- my mother. xD

Your mum is so awesome for reading PJatO :3
I felt the same way, but only because I told my friends how much the cliffhanger ending killed me and warned them not to read it until the next book comes out in autumn XD I just hated how we learnt about the other camp but didn't get any detail on it whatsoever

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Zen-Clarke In reply to stravaganzette [2011-04-14 00:55:26 +0000 UTC]

Lol, right? I kept telling her about how much I loved the books, and the movie was coming out, so she decided to read the first one before we saw the movie. xD She loves them just as much as me. <3
I knooooooooow!! It's so not fair! D; Not to mention the fact that Percy has possibly forgotten about Annabeth and Grover? It just...just... (*stares at icon* ...intriguing...sorry. Never used that one before. xD)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

stravaganzette In reply to Zen-Clarke [2011-04-18 21:50:01 +0000 UTC]

Haha. Yeah, Son of Neptune is gonig to be really sad. I seriously hope he and Jason get their memories back, otherwise it's just going to be despressing XD
And yes the icons are always surprising

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Zen-Clarke In reply to stravaganzette [2011-04-18 22:29:13 +0000 UTC]

And I hope that there's not some girl waiting for Jason back at the other camp. Because that'd be sad and I get really annoyed by those kind of conflicts (Rachel vs. Annabeth didn't bother me, since Annabeth had been around so much longer, and everyone knew that's who Percy was supposed to be with). x-x And gods help Percy and any other girl he meets at camp if he gets in the same situation -- something tells me Annabeth would blow a fuse. xD

lol, llama. xD

stravaganzette In reply to Zen-Clarke [2011-04-20 12:56:38 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it's going to get veeeery complicated in the next book. I hope they don't get too bogged down in relationship dilemmas instead of actually having a plot.
Hahaha, I feel sorry for any girl who tries to take Percy away from Annabeth XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Zen-Clarke In reply to stravaganzette [2011-04-20 21:41:23 +0000 UTC]

Lol, yeah. Leave that for the fanfics. xD I wonder what point of view the next one's going to be from. D: OMG, Riordan, hurry up!!! x-x

I know, right? It's like a death wish. xD Remember how she treated Rachel? xD

stravaganzette In reply to Zen-Clarke [2011-04-27 18:08:41 +0000 UTC]

Ohh, the girl-angst was almost unbearable! But Percy's reaction to it all was hilarious XD

Zen-Clarke In reply to stravaganzette [2011-04-27 19:05:21 +0000 UTC]

I know. xD Though you can't really blame Annabeth, in a way. I think I'd act the same. Possibly worse, if I had her dagger. xD

stravaganzette In reply to Zen-Clarke [2011-04-29 12:01:22 +0000 UTC]

Haha, yeah, I could never trust myself in her position AND with a knife XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Zen-Clarke In reply to stravaganzette [2011-04-29 16:46:30 +0000 UTC]

Lol, I know! Seriously, it's bad enough that whenever I see a girl with the guy I like at school I want to "accidentally" push them down a flight of stairs; give me a knife and it wouldn't be pretty. xD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

stravaganzette In reply to Zen-Clarke [2011-05-31 11:35:16 +0000 UTC]

The trick with pushing people down stairs is trip 'em up when it's busy and then be thr first to see if they're OK so they don't suspect

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Zen-Clarke In reply to stravaganzette [2011-05-31 14:08:55 +0000 UTC]

Ooo...brilliant idea. I think my friend may have seen that happen, sort of. xD It didn't occur to her until later that the person she saw standing next to him may've been the one to trip the other guy. xD

Zen-Clarke In reply to stravaganzette [2011-05-31 20:13:04 +0000 UTC]

Aw...forgot about that. We should plan the perfect murder. I mean now days there are enough criminal TV shows to help us avoid the obvious stuff!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

stravaganzette In reply to Zen-Clarke [2011-05-31 20:15:16 +0000 UTC]

Exactly! It's a wonder why they let people like us watch that stuff, because now we know exactly what to do >
Also, people who write those shows would make the best master criminals. If we teamed up with them we'd be unstoppable!
