Description Following up that performance in Beijing can't be easy. Shakespeare is really epic though- I'm sure they'll do fine.

Didn't expect this to be my first Hetalia submission. Here you go though. Oh, and big news for any one who hasn't heard yet- they announced that they're making a 5th season of the anime!

They did the Industrial Revolution of all things. I thought it was lame, at least compared to Beijing.

Beijing is really hard to follow. I bet they were under a lot of pressure. I was surprised they focused on the Industrial Revolution instead of other sections of history, but that certainly was a time period that changed the nature of people's lives so I get why they thought of it.

I drew this last night- I only knew to put England in that outfit because there was announcement that they would be referring to Shakespeare during the ceremony. So I put him in Shakespearean clothes. But yes, most of if not all of the ceremony took place over in London since it's already night time there.

Dang he was big. O_O I thought from pictures it was the Grim Reaper then I watched it and... that would be scarier than a giant Grim Reaper I think.

So the opening ceremonies were actually not bad. I especially liked the part with Mr. Bean and the orchestra.

But then I'm reminded of when England put scones in the Pictonians' goody bags. All around a good time, followed by a fail of massive proportions thanks to Paulie's poor performance.

China must be laughing so hard right now.

Why didn't they have Ringo sing too? ;A; They missed a chance to be truly epic- it wouldn't matter what they sang or how good- just the two of them even standing on a stage together? That would have been a great thing to see. Oh well. :/

It sounds like they made a point of celebrating England's history of great literature. All of us who love those authors are going to be well entertained. JK Rowling was definitely in the ceremony- there are photos of it. I'd be super excited if they mention Tolkien.

Oh yes! That was very fun. I have to say I was surprised by how much humor they slipped into it. The ceremonies in Beijing were beautiful but serious- London wins the comedy award for sure. XD
