And these writers have lost their marbles as well.Just a sketch I drew when I was quite bored. I have a tendency to doodle and then expand on my doodles. Anyhow I might upload a better quality version eventually if I am able to miraculously produce a better scanned version with my reluctant scanner.

This is very cool, you have a very surreal feel to your work. Was this inspired by anything, or was it just randomness?
It's gorgeous, and my only suggestion would be to maybe make the marbles different values from the rest, I find a focus on the faces the most, and you might want to attract more attention to the marbles. Perhaps by making them a light value, or making them higher contrast. And since I've seen your colours, I might actually suggest you should colour it haha! Or do a colour version. Lovely work though, really original and refreshing to see, keep it up!

For just being a doodle, this is so fantastic. I wish I was this creative in high school XD
Seriously, this kind of imagination is invaluable. You should keep doing this kind work, flex your creativity as often as possible. I love the faces, especially the one on the left. They're so stylized and graphic and complement the whole piece. The Thing that sticks out to me the most is the crinkled texture around the marble in the middle and how it continues up to the faces. It's just fantastic.
Have you considered taking this idea to a more complete composition--perhaps a painting or something.

Very cool, I love just drawing whatever come to mind and this embodies that feeling exactly. The line work is very well done and the shading is good as well. Good use of hatch and cross hatch shading (no one seems to shade that way anymore its really sad). Nice job and this gets a fav in my book.
