Originally I sketched his profile with pen only, but then I decided I didn't like the results much -- so I thought, "heck I might as well try something new with my not-so-great sketch!" Yep, this is how I'm spending my last summer before college starts.

Concept: Wallflower
Flower: Calla lily

The fact that his face is turned away and looking off into the distance embodied the idea of a "wallflower" (at least it did in my mind...) so I added colored flowers, making his black and white face "fade" into the background and seem transparent (erm ... well that was the idea haha)

Urbandictionary isn't the best source for things, but here's what is says: Wallflower -- a type of loner. seemingly shy folks who no one really knows. often some of the most interesting people if one actually talks to them.
