Description Art by Eric Ou ( Eriance ) . This is the original concept of the Stark Light Battle Armor as done by Eric Ou. It is named after its fictional creator Samuel Stark, who is a tribute to my favorite superhero - Tony Stark AKA Iron Man - who I have loved since I started reading comics as a pre-teen. Eric worked from my description of the weapons and feel of the suit, then made a really nice and realistically-proportioned armor based on the description. Eric has done at least one official Tech Readout picture for BattleTech, a 100-ton tank in 3085. He is also a major contributor to Steve Satak's project, Technical Readout 3063, the first unofficial BattleTech readout (which is being handled very nicely by a great lot of artists!) You can check out Eric's DA page here: [link]

The Stark Light Battle Armor was designed by Samuel Stark of Strider's Strikers. The armor itself does not follow BattleTech's rules specifically for battle armors, as it is too light and meant to be a cross between jump infantry and battle armor. Samuel Stark designed the Stark Light specifically to hunt less-agile battle armored infantry. It carries weapons, all prototypes, specifically for this purpose. These include a shoulder-mounted grenade launcher, a spent-uranium spike launcher, a prototype machine gun which fires 3 separate types of munitions, and an integrated jump-jet system to give the armor a quick way out when it finds itself too close for comfort to its larger foes. You can see the Stark Light's technical readout in full here: [link]

Looks like another company beat S.T.a.R.S. to the punch damn.
This is a PHENOMENAL job!!! An instant fave!

Who are the folks at S.T.a.R.S.? Forgive me if its a common sense kinda thing. All I can think of offhand when I hear that is the Umbrella Corporation from Biohazard, better known as Resident Evil outside Japan.
Which parts were similar to your idea, the IM tribute, the suit concept, or the prototype weapon concepts? There is a very cool version of the Stark Light on the website now, though its a photoshopped version for the intro page. Its done by Leonard Giron but his take on Eric's design is really awesome. Thanks a bunch for the comment Kahine!

That is the design firm that I created that "sponsors" my stable in the Calgary Battletech League. It stands for Strategic Technologies and Research Systems. In the campaign that I ran before I had to take a break from it they are beginning to fill in the void left after the Jihad.
And I am a huge fan of the Iron Man movies and thought that the War Machine suit would make a kick ass PAL.

I was just thinking of making an Iron Man based Mech probably Medium class putting PPC in the Chest, pulses in the arms (hands), streak6 in the shoulders, and of course the jump jets lol.
