Sorry for the weirdly cut off picture, my girlfriend wearing Evil Fonist Jade was a giant motion blur!

Surprise, I'm a dude! I used to cosplay boys quite often, but I don't do it nearly as much anymore because I don't have a great figure for it and it's really a pain to bind the chest. Once in a while though there are characters I just have to make regardless of gender!

I look quite different from my usual costumes here because A. the puppies are strapped down B. I'm not wearing a corset and C. I'm not wearing a foundation much paler than my own skin or girly makeup! I'm actually quite naturally tan due to my Indian heritage, the more you know.

This is actually my second attempt at this costume. A few years ago I was supposed to make it for a friend, but it didn't end up happening and I'm glad I waited. It's funny how the more you know about sewing the harder something looks.

Me 3 years ago: It's just a pair of blinged out pajamas!

Me now: These blinged out pajamas are going to be the death of me.

There is a LOT of applique, and small annoying details that really took me for a run on this costume. Top it off with starting pretty late in the game, on a tight budget? I was crying silent tears while sewing lines for hours.

I'm not going to get into the construction before I get some better pictures of the outfit, but this costume was an exercise in small details and tedious bias tape because Tales games are alllllllllll about the bias tape. I also put the bead on the wrong side because mirrors are my enemy.
