The problem is the officer is bound to protect everyone by law. Its not pick and choose who hets protected. If these were communists they would be protected as well. Fist amedment protects the feee speech of all. It protects the speech you hate not the one you like. The nazi has the right to portest but so does the anti-nazi. However hurting anyone is not protected.
If the nazi tried it he would be stopped. Antifa tried it they as well would be stopped. You seem to rely on circular loguc. Your type are the first to claim Bush is limiting freedom but you are no better by wanting to silence others you deem a threat. Not do differnt huh.

Nice to see someone else here taking not of the particular irony of what has been said. Though there is a difference in reasoning.

Ever heard of Neo-nazi's? The 50,000 in Russia? The 20,000 in Germany? The thousands in the UK and US? Seems not.

The rationale is that freedom of speech doesn't just apply to speech with which the majority agrees. Though I can see the logic in the exceptions that many European countries have made... But that slippery slope has been traveled too. Belgium banned minarets. That is straight religious persecution, speech and religion should be basic rights afforded everyone. So I'm not completely sure where I stand on the matter, at the end of the day.

i can see the reasoning behind your argument, but nazi germany was cruel to alot of people who weren't nazis. the british, for example, were some of the victims. then there's the french, and the polish, who were in fact the first ethnic group targeted by nazi germany in 1939, when they invaded warsaw.

OMFG, neo-Nazis make PARADES? That sounds so weird. I thought it was illegal to be a Nazi. Anyway, it should be. "We're better than you, you should be slaves to us or better yet, dead." I admit I don't know much about neo-Nazi philosophy, so maybe I'm wrong, but then again, there aren't a lot of possibilities. x)
So yes, man, it is poetic. Great picture.

that's how freedom of speech works. Everyone gets their turn, even if the police have to keep a mob from killing them for it.

In my opinion, banning something does nothing to reduce its popularity, and even serves to strengthen the resolve of the people who just got banned. Once a group can identify themselves as persecuted they have something to fight for, something to rally around, and a reason to endure. Banning it also gives it credence, says we recognize it as a threat and that it has power. By not recognizing any of those things you take away their power.
