Description The AV-HT Mk 1 is an Anti-Vehicle Hover tank. Its large pulse cannon is capable of piercing most protective force fields.

It is also equipped with 12 Blue Tail-missiles, (for use on enemy infantry in cover, or smaller mechs/battlesuits) and a turret-mounted machine gun for warfare against infantry in open terrain.

Height: 2.6 meters
Length: 7.8 meters
Width: 3.6 meters

------

This is my first serious project using a 3D-modeling software, and must say I really enjoyed making this tank!
There is of course room for improvements when it comes to my skill, but I'll keep modeling and get better over time!

Made using:
SketchUp
Photoshop

Thanks!

The principle that form is supposed to follow function is actually something that I try to incorporate in everything I design, vehicles aswell as products!

I think its a really interesting design. Tell me where you looking at real tanks at the time because it looks similar to an Israeli Merkava tank. The gun barrel reminds me of the tanks from the original Tron movie.
You could even turn the rear section into a passenger compartment like the Merkava or the US Bradley IFV.

Thank you!

I didn't really try to get inspiration from any modern day tank, I just wanted to create a tank that could fit both engines and crew in a realistic way. The end result got a somewhat Patria like appearence, with a turret that indeed does look a bit like the Merkava (which by the way is one great looking tank)!

And when it comes to the Tron movie I have yet to watch the original one!

You're welcome. Its nice to know that some of my thoughts were completely wrong. Hope you do some more vehicles.

I'm glad you like it!

I've applied to a number of concept art oriented schools, so if I get in there will probably be lots more in the same style or at least genre to come.

Thanks a lot!

I think it's a bit empty in some places. More details are needed. But for being my first work in a 3D modeling software I was quite satisfied.
