Description Updated Picture of Costume. Pretty much the entire thing was redone!

So, I've got to take some more detail shots of the various pieces used, but basically, here is the scoop. I purchased a pair of thigh-high black faux-suede boots, painstakingly spent about two days stitching the silver rings on, plus the garter straps. (I still hope to redo these someday when I have a lot of money, in leather).

I remade the blouse out of white cotton gauze and handpainted the red designs. I pleated the top with red top-stitching and created all of the drawstrings and tassels by hand. The blouse is a near exact replica now.

The bolero is a deep wine-red silk/rayon velvet, lined in red cotton. I handpainted the gold/red/black wave designs on the edges, and created red piping for the edges as well.

I hated to destroy my old Anna corset, but I knew I could do so much better. I studied the crap out of the seam lines and stud placement of the actual corset and replicated it out of black pleather (another piece I want to remake in leather someday). I used gold and silver studs and spent an entire day installing them into the corset. There are also a couple silver spikes, as featured by the real thing. The corset laces with a red braided cord, much like the actual corset. I took the buckles and straps from the first version and used them for the front of this.

The pants are black spandex leggings. The gloves are black suede. The sword was purchased a long time ago off a fantasy swords website; it was a gift from a friend. I made the necklace a while ago as well, black cord with silver cross pendants. The wig was an amazing steal off of eBay--it's curly and brunette with strawberry blonde highlights.

Worn to several events: Halloween in Salem, Dragon*Con 2006 and Spooky World in Boston 2007; as well as various ren-faires.

Thank you! I'm hoping to revamp (lol) this costume this year, now that I know how to work with leather and hardware - and now that I know exactly what they used for the studs on her corset.

would you consider selling me this outfit or at least the blouse, corset and jacket (the corset would be a bugger to find haha)

Nope, sorry. I do not sell my costumes. There is a romanian blouse company that makes a similar blouse (Carpatina, I believe). There are a lot of companies putting out similar corsets to hers. Example: [link]

If you do some digging on etsy, you can probably find a repro of the bolero (jacket). And if you want a really good repro, be willing to pay several hundred bucks for it, at least. I saw a full repro on etsy that was selling for $1,500.

If you're looking only to do this as a Halloween costume, I recommend piecing it together with thrift store finds and various forms of craftiness. I hope this is somewhat helpful in your search - good luck!
